Student Offices

I realized in May the time had come to toss out my old Student Offices and create something new. My previous set had served me well, but man, where they trashed and ugly! I spent all summer trying to make it just right. One week during a l-o-n-g training I had an epiphany on what was missing. I am CrAzY excited about this. The parts that make it exciting are because of a couple of awesome bloggers! Some of my favorite summer finds I had to re-create in a smaller version so they would fit. First is Writer's Eye by Live, Love, Laugh. I love this and it will look super cute in my classroom. Click the link below to go straight to her post.
The next is Illustration Rubric Template from Falling into First. I am CrAzY in love with this too! Illustrations are always a constant conversation in my class.  I think this template is awesome! Click the link below to go straight to her TpT store. Oh, did I mention that both these products are free? Who doesn't love Free??

I created this using 2 file folders taped/glued together to make 3 sided folder. Glue 3 pages above on the inside and laminate. I chose not to create a cover because it is all about what the students see when it is open. Students see all they need with the office put up around their paper while they work. So, included in the FREE packet from us in an alphabet chart (actually it is 4-depending on your preference), math chart (includes numbers, ten frames, 2D and 3D frames, and colors), and the CrAzY awesome stuff I described above! So click on the link above and enjoy this freebie!

                                      and bring your dollies 3
                                              climb up my APPLE tree

ahhh the joys of childhood... what CrAzY fun times!  We teach our Apples unit right around the corner and  it is one of our favorite units to teach.  Most of the kids have never tasted a yellow apple, or even knew there were yellow apples out there ---- CrAzY!!  So many fun things to do with them.  Homemade crockpot applesauce, Johnny Appleseed, Apple Juice vs Apple Cider..... what are some fun things you do in your classroom for Apples?!!!  Check out our fun apple unit below.

CrAzY Great Sharpener

Classroom Friendly Supplies has the best pencil sharpener! Have you seen these? We saw a link from the company asking for bloggers to check out their product and blog about it. As a teacher, we all have gone through CrAzY amounts of pencil sharpeners. We were doubtful this one would wow us! Well, we was wrong. This is probably the best pencil sharpener we've ever used. One of the best features is it does not run on batteries or electricity. We never have enough plugs around our desk so the sharpener is always across the room. This one is perfect and will look CrAzY cute on our desks!

So, if you are like us and go through lots of sharpeners and need something fabulous, then click on the link above and get you one. An even better idea is to get some teammates to buy one too because they have a teacher special of Buy 3 and they are only $17.99 each. It is sooo worth the price!

Thanks to Classroom Friendly Supplies for allowing these 2 Crazy Texas Teachers to try out their product. We are super happy they did!

Bucket Fillers

We love bucket fillers! The kids love to be bucket fillers! Have you read the book? If not, it is a must! It is one of the best ways to teach the kids how to be good to others! At our school, bucket fillers has always been a Counselor-led lesson and rewards were give by her. This year we decided to make it a classroom based lesson and rewards. Below are some examples of how it can look in your classroom. The first picture is like what we are using. We found super cute jewelry pockets that are the perfect size for a small dixie cup in each pocket- 1 for each student. They will receive a pom-pom each time they are a bucket filler.

Our next $1 product has 2 parts. The first part is what you need to create a cute bucket filler area in your room. There is a small sign, large sign, Bucket Filler Promise, student labels for your pockets and writing pages. The second part has us CrAzY excited. You have probably seen the Classroom Coupons. Students earn the right to take off their shoes, wear a hat, move their desk, and lots of other CrAzY fun things! We decided to turn the Classroom Coupons into our Bucket Filler Rewards. Here is how it works: print the Classroom Coupons and laminate. When students reach your classroom goal for Bucket Filling they pick a Classroom Coupon. They can redeem the coupon whenever you like. The parent letter lets them know their child has been a Bucket Filler and also what may/may not be required from home depending on what coupon their child selected.

Grab your $1 Bucket Filler packet and the Classroom Coupons packet that has 9 different coupons and a parent letter. Remember, its only $1 for 24 hours. Your kids will love it!

CrAzY Product Swap!

MrsStanfordsClass
Jessica over at Mrs. Stanford's Class hosted a CrAzy cool product swap! We were so lucky to get paired up with Cindy at Krazy Kindergarten Teacher.

Here is how it works: we each got to pick one item from the others TpT store for free! We are CrAzY in love with free! Anyway, we get our item, print it, laminate, cut it out and play away! So this post is to let you know what we thought about our item from Cindy.

The product we selected was the CrAzY cute Ice Cream Alphabet Matching Game.

This product will be a perfect back to school station, especially here in Texas where it will be CrAzY hot still when the kids return. The upper case letters are on the cone and the lower case letters are on the scoops of ice cream. We chose to mount the cones on construction paper to give the station workmats. We cut out the ice cream scoops and those will be the pieces the kids will place on the mats. Here are some more pictures!

This is a great product for any Pre-K or Kindergarten classroom. The graphics are super cute and the font is easy to read. Cindy has so many other great ideas on her blog. Stop by now and show her some love!
