Bugs, Bugs, Bugs

So dang sweet...... when the kids catch a ladybug at  recess and run to  show you..... not so much when they stomp it 40 times like its the Lochness Monster (yes this happened- and we had tears from on lookers)  If real life insects had the CrAzY cute bug eyes like those in our clip art, we might not be so ticked when the mosquito's suck our face off when we go outside.  Here is our Bugs unit Math & Literacy- LOADED with CrAzY fun activities to review and keep the wheel spinnin' up there!

Silent "e"

Silent "e" silent "e" how would we read without thee?? Silent "e" Silent "e" here it is a freebie!
 Tell the kids when the silent "e" is at the end of the word the other vowel gets so excited he wants to introduce himself and say his name!  Such a fun way to teach it! The kids giggle and get it every time after practice! This freebie is great practice! Have some CrAzY fun with it!

Weather

2 weeks ago we had 13 tornado's that touched down.  I was bound and determined to get a storm shelter that day- since my husband thought it was silly to put his family $9,000 in debt (yes that is for the deluxe model folks- to which he seriously replied "what could they POSSIBLY make deluxe about 4 walls of concrete in the ground??!!!) SO rude! we He decided against it.  Poo!  So the next tornado we have- be FULL aware I will have no peace yet again!  No tornadoes today, just some rain and wind here in good ol' Texas.  It's been pretty windy lately, and I should know because I hate the wind! I hate the wind so much I started to wonder if they ever close school because of the wind?.  Think about it.  Seriously.  There COULD be power outages and stuff like that.  YES we teach inside where it isn't windy- but just sayin'.... maybe they should reconsider.  All this CrAzY weather has reminded us that our weather unit is right around the corner so here it is.  It's Friday!!!  Yipppiee!!

We love Mother's Day!!  Such a fun time to listen to what the kids love about their moms- so sweet, so innocent!  Our kids LOVE to talk about their mom, and especially love to write about and write to their mom. Here is our Mother's Day writing packet.  We think you will love it as much as our kids do!

CrAzY Unorganized Mess!???

We are NOT above bribin' folks!  Have the desk fairy or handwriting fairy visit your classrooms and leave a note for all students.  Leave a treat with the fireman and police officer.  The trash man is a reminder to ALWAYS do their best work.  The kids love being ready for them to visit.  Enjoy-It's FREE!!

Now that the field trip is jumping

Jumped out the bus, ran into class
Bumper to bumper the hallways are packed
I'm tryin' to get a/c before my make-up is wacked!

  We are hoping for sunny skies as we head to the farm on THE BIG YELLOW SCHOOL BUS.  Oh how we love to watch the CrAzY excitement of these kids on their 1st ride on the big yellow school bus.  Goo With field trips right around the corner lets get them writing like CraZy about it!  This Field Trip packet has a pre-field trip writing page for them to write about what they think the school bus ride will be like- OH THE EXCITEMENT it brings! Then there is the day after the field trip where they write about the field trip itself.  Our PTA pays part of our students cost to the field trip, so our students write a thank you note each year thanking PTA and telling them where they went and what their favorite part of the field trip was.  We included that page too!  There is nothing more fun then getting your kids excited about writing- and a field trip always does the trick!

on a side note- we have gone a little CrAzy- given the fact that there are only 6 Monday's left of school....that's right 6!!! And with that comes CrAzInEsS.  Our fingers were faster than the brain and accidentally uploaded our I Have Who Has games with the file that was not corrected.  We have since corrected this problem so please if yours isn't working leave your email so we can get in touch with you for the correct file.

Crazy Sale Time

MMMMMM... can't ya'll just smell that fresh farm air?!  We are strappin' on our spurs and getting ready to mount this horse ya'll--- we are teaching our CrAzY Fun Farm Unit starting Monday!  YEE-HAW!! Another CrAzY Writing Themed Packet

 Another writing themed packet- this one is on Transportation.  It's CrAzY cute!! The kids love to have the starting picture, drawing is hard for them so this is their starting point.  They add roads, sun, trees... whatever makes it theirs!  There are thinking maps which we know are loved by all you other CrAzY teachers too!  And just for our followers- here is a CrAzY fun "Dear Mom"writing freebie. CRaZy Good Writers!

Practice makes perfect! Practice.... practice... practice..... everyday our children must be writing.  Moving the thoughts from their brain onto paper and then adding all the rules to get it right- that's a lot for these little ones!!  But guess what?!!  They can do it!  And they can do it good, if you give them lots of practice!  Our little ones have a writing block everyday day.  We have 30 min of solid quiet uninterrupted time where we play "smart music" (we jam out classical music) the kids know if "smart music" is on, they are quite.  It really lets them think!  We are going to give you all the tools you need to get these little ones CrAzY good at writing.  Here is our Space Writing packet.  The kids LOVE the endless possibilities they have with our writing themes.  They think it is SO FUN, and can't wait for the next theme we bring out.  Wait ....what??  You want your kids to beg for writing time like ours do??
